Óskarstilnefningar fyrir 2011 kynntar

Akademían hefur kynnt tilnefningar sínar til 84. Óskarsverðlaunanna sem haldin verða 26. febrúar.

Kvikmynd Martins Scorsese, Hugo, fékk flestar tilnefningar, 11 talsins, og franska, svarthvíta, þögla myndin The Artist fékk næstflestar, 10 tilnefningar. The Arist er sigurvegari tilnefninganna því að þrátt fyrir færri tilnefningar er hún í stærri flokkum en Hugo. War Horse, mynd Stevens Spielberg, er með 6 tilnefningar (þar af 5 í tækniflokkum), The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo og Moneyball sömuleiðis. The Descendants er með 5 tilnefningar.

Síðustu áratugi hafa fimm myndir keppt um titilinn Besta mynd. Í fyrra var reglunum breytt og tíu kepptu í flokknum. Í ár og framtíðinni verða tilnefningarnar eins margar og Akademíunni finnst skilið. Niðurstaðan er sú að níu myndir keppa í flokknum í ár.
